- Promotion campaign; "We have everything to win"
The Tour de France is committed to promoting cycling in all its aspects. This year it is launching a communication campaign to encourage TV viewers to use their bicycles for their daily journeys. Four videos have been broadcast regularly on France Télévisions channels since the last edition of Paris–Roubaix, emphasising the numerous and varied benefits of cycling, starting with day-to-day life. Often faster, obviously healthier, always cheaper and unfailingly cleaner than other means of transport, bicycles are emerging as the ideal solution for urban environments, both for individuals and for society as a whole. "We have everything to win", as the campaign slogan puts it.
- "La Fête Tour”:
Created six years ago, this festival allows the general public to explore the future route of the Tour de France. 80% of the host towns for Le Tour 2018 have taken part.
These beacons in the colours of the Tour de France will remain as a sign of the Tour de France’s presence, in particular to signal the top of mountain passes or stage start and finish points.
