2026 Edition
The history
The team has been a melting pot and taken part in races around the globe from its early days. The original squad focused on recruiting prestigious riders in the twilight of their careers: the German sprinter André Greipel (fifth on the Champs-Élysées in 2021 in his Tour de France swansong), the Irish climber Dan Martin (fifth at Luz-Ardiden before hanging up his bicycle too) and, most notably, Chris Froome, who has been working his way back up the ladder following a horrific crash in the 2019 Dauphiné and overcame his constant struggles to finish third on the Alpe d'Huez in 2022, the sole notable performance of his slow-motion comeback over five seasons.
The four-time Tour winner became popular in the gruppetto in 2021, but the team had to wait until the following season to get its maiden stage win, courtesy of Simon Clarke on the cobblestones of northern France, which was soon followed by Hugo Houle's triumph in Foix. In 2023 it went back to its winning ways with Michael Woods on the very same day that the Grande Boucle returned to one of its hallowed sites, the Puy de Dôme.
Fellow Canadian Derek Gee was its GC man in 2024, building on his podium spot (third) in the Critérium du Dauphiné a few weeks earlier to finish ninth in the Tour. He has since added fourth place in the 2025 Giro to his list of achievements. In the sprinting department, Pascal Ackermann came in third in Saint-Amand-Montrond, Villeneuve-sur-Lot and Pau. He was unable to match that performance in 2025, with eighth in Dunkirk and fourth in Laval as his highlights. Two of his teammates cracked the top 10 in stages: the 2024 Tour de l'Avenir winner, Joseph Blackmore, came in sixth in Mont-Dore, while Jake Stewart crossed the finish line in sixth place in Pontarlier. Neither Michael Woods, taking the final curtain call of his road race career, nor the other leader of the squad, Alexey Lutsenko, did anything of note.
The Swiss team has borrowed its slogan, "Never Say Never", from the name of the sports and entertainment agency co-founded by the former FC Barcelona midfielder Andrés Iniesta, which signed the sprinter Biniam Girmay this year.
