“I wasn’t tempted to break away because my legs have been hampered by the mountains. We didn’t have to handle the responsibilities today. The breakaway group was very strong. However it was a hard day, especially with the heat. Luckily, our team was very well organised and we got cold drinks and ice on a regular basis. Tomorrow’s stage is suitable for a breakaway again.”
