"There was still a little bit missing. It's really a shame. I attacked from afar but it was a little long before the finish line. But I'm happy. The sensations are good. It was a beautiful race and I'm glad to have played a part in that. I didn't win but I'm glad. That's the way I am. I have to try something. I can't be content with sitting back. I have to take risks on the flat, in the climbs and in the descents."

    History repeated itself on Sunday for Team Sky's Sergio Henao and Alberto Contador, who battled it out in a nail-biting final stage of Paris-Nice before the Spaniard was forced to concede defeat for two seconds.
