Pneumothorax for Hollenstein

Swiss Reto Hollenstein (IAM), who crashed after one kilometer in the stage, was seriously injured in his right side and suffers from a pneumothorax, the Tour medical service said.

The official medical statement states that the Swiss rider suffers from bruises on the right half of the body with severe scratches in the shoulder as well as a "complete pneumothorax"  of the right lung.
Further checks by scanner will be undertaken in hospital.

    After Rafal Majka in the Alps, another of Alberto Contador's domestiques claimed his first stage victory at the Tour de France. Michael Rogers managed to get rid of the Europcar duo formed of Thomas Voeckler and Cyril Gautier to arrive solo in Bagnères-de-Luchon. In the yellow jersey group, Thibaut Pinot took a significant advantage over direct rivals Tejay van Garderen and Romain Bardet while Vincenzo Nibali comfortably retained the overall lead.
