Tourist attractions

Digne-les-Bains

Known as the capital of lavender, Digne-les-Bains is a spa town nestling between Provence and the Alps. The thermal waters, heated to 49°C, have been reputed since Antiquity for their therapeutic properties, and are excellent for treating rheumatism or respiratory tract disorders.

With an exceptional number of hours of sunshine and an outstanding climate, Digne-les-Bains is a paradise for outdoor sports enthusiasts and is also packed with places to visit for those interested in culture (the Haute-Provence Geopark, the Museum-Promenade, the Alexandra David Néel Centre, the Gassendi Museum, the Archaelogical Crypt, etc.).

The Haute Provence Geopark is the biggest geological Nature Reserve in Europe (and the first to be awarded a UNESCO label). It has a huge diversity of landscapes and an exceptional biodiversity as well as a wealth of fossils (such as ammonite rock). It is a paradise for geologists and hikers and marvellous open-air museums thanks to its signposted trails that help you to read and understand the Earth.

Pra-Loup

Pra Loup, so beautiful in its snowy winter coat, shows off its sporty summer figure with the first rays of summer sun. Pra Loup is an appealing, friendly, dynamic place with a mild climate, plenty of green space and sun in the heart of the Ubaye Valley.

Everywhere you go, whether you're out in the countryside or sitting on a terrace, you'll be amazed by the stunning views! To make the most of your stay, you'll find signposted trails, a cable car, untamed nature and fabulous winding roads in this area on the edge of the Mercantour National Park.
