Paving the way…

The Critérium International is always an exceptional date on the cycling calendar. This year it will have an even more emotional feel to it, slightly less than 100 days before the Grand Départ (Official Race Start) of the 100th Tour de France, to which Corsica will play host for the first time at the end of June. For the fourth year in a row, the peloton will gather together on the Isle of Beauty in the spring, providing the champions with a unique setting to test themselves.

This period has also provided us with the means necessary to prepare the Tour’s already historic visit to Corsica in ideal conditions.

The habits adopted in Porto-Vecchio, the images of the peloton climbing up towards the Col de l’Ospedale or overlooking the cliffs of Bonifacio and the enthusiastic welcome received in all the towns and villages crossed by the race, will make both the riders and followers feel at home in this exceptional region. Each of them will be able to remember that the Critérium International has made Corsica a land of cycling.
