The route 2009

The route

Running from Friday September 5^th to Sunday September 13^th 2009, the 46^th Tour de l’Avenir will be made up of 9 stages and will cover a total distance of 1,300 kilometres.

Format

• 17 national teams and 1 mixed team, each consisting of 6 riders,
• Riders must be under 23 years of age: aged between 19 and 22,
• The race is one of the 6 events in the UCI under 23 Nations’ Cup.

The UCI Nations' Cup, won by Portugal in 2008, will be awarded at the end of the Tour de l'Avenir.
