Salins-Les-Bains
Salins-les-Bains owes its name to its salty springs and to salt itself. The inhabitants of Salins are privileged witnesses to this age-old activity.
In the Salins thermal baths, you can take advantage of the benefits of these salty waters as a spa therapy (for rheumatism) but also as a health treatment and for relaxation. The Relaxation Centre is open to all, both young and old, and includes swimming pool, sauna, steam room and hot tub.
The town is located in a green and protected environment, suitable for outdoor activities. There is a large choice available: hiking and mountain bike trekking, skydiving, tree climbing.
The town has an individual associative structure and hosts numerous sporting and cultural events.

Saint-Genis-Pouilly
Deep in Pays de Gex in the Ain department between Geneva and the Jura mountain range, Saint-Genis-Pouilly is a town of 8,400 residents which has all the benefits of a small village, yet with a privileged set up: there are three primary schools, a secondary school, a crèche/kindergarten, a sports centre, local shops, supermarkets and major brand chains as well as an infrastructure for culture and modern sports. Part of the CERN (European Centre for Nuclear Research) is based there.
With its 70 associations, the town lives to the rhythm of various shows and sporting events, which, throughout the year, demonstrate the town’s energy and individualism. This stage of the Tour de l’Avenir will be a first for cycling enthusiasts in Saint-Genis-Pouilly.
