Yutz
In the North-West of Moselle department, close to Luxembourg, Belgium and Germany, Yutz is a town of over 17,000 inhabitants. Its festive atmosphere and active associative management (148 associations) make it a welcoming city and a pleasant place to live.
Yutz’s sports association has equipment all over the town and makes it possible to partake in numerous sporting activities. There are 3 gyms, 5 football pitches, 2 rugby pitches, 1 fully equipped athletics stadium, 1 gymnasium, 1 dojo, 1 skate park, 2 indoor and 3 outdoor tennis courts, and no less than 3 multi-sports areas. These numerous sports associations are individual and achieve good results. The female handball team has been promoted to the first division. Cycling is also advancing thanks to the Club Sportif Cycliste, which organises various events: Grand Prix de la Ville de Yutz, cross country championships, and rides, to name a few.

Metz
A year before the arrival of the Eastern European TGV, Metz is really heading towards urban and economic development. Amongst the projects of international standing it is worth mentioning the Metz-Pompidou Centre. The first major developments in the western part of the Amphitheatre Area will see 50,000m2 of offices 50,000 m2 of businesses and supplies, housing for 1,500, a media centre and a Conference centre.
As in Paris, the Metz-Pompidou Centre will also enjoy innovatory architecture. Over 10,000m2 surface area, 5,000m2 will be dedicated to showcasing work.
Also in the Amphitheatre area, "Les Arènes" a multi-sports arena with 4,300 seater capacity has been a venue providing an ambitious range of sporting events and shows since September 2001.
Finally, since May 2002, the Parc de la Seille has linked the areas south of the city and the historic centre.
