ARTICLE 1. Organisation
The 100th PARIS - TOURS is organised by TDF Sport and the Amaury Sport Organisation according to the rules of the International Cycling Union (U.C.I) and the French Cycling Federation. It will take place on Sunday 8 October 2006. ARTICLE 2. Type of event The event is reserved for athletes of the Men's Elite category. ARTICLE 3. Participation In compliance with article 2.1.005 of International Cycling Union rules, the event is open to U.C.I. ProTeams and to Professional Continental Teams. In compliance with article 2.2.003 of International Cycling Union rules, the number of riders per team is limited to a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 8. ARTICLE 4. Starting line desk The starting line desk is open on Saturday 7 October from 2.30 pm to 6.00 pm: SALLE DU COLOMBIER 78730 SAINT ARNOULT-EN-YVELINES The confirmation of participants and the collection of shirt numbers by team managers will take place at the starting line desk between 2.30 pm and 4.45 pm on Saturday 7 October. The meeting of Sports Directors, organised according to article 1.2.087 of U.C.I. rules, in the presence of the Members of the College of Commissioners, is scheduled for 5.00 pm at the organiser's desk. ARTICLE 5. Radio-Tour Race information will be broadcast on the radio frequency 169,425 MHZ. ARTICLE 6. Impartial Technical Assistance Impartial technical assistance will be provided by MAVIC. This service is provided via an average of 3 technician's cars. ARTICLE 7. Time to finish Any rider arriving at the finishing line with a time exceeding 5% of the winner's time is dropped from the classification. This time frame may be increased in exceptional circumstances by the College of Commissioners, in consultation with the organiser. ARTICLE 8. Classifications Individual classification by time will be established according to the order of passage at the finish line. ARTICLE 9. Prize list The following prizes will be awarded:
ARTICLE 10. Anti-doping Inspection The U.C.I anti-doping regulations apply in full to Paris-Tours. In addition, French anti-doping regulations apply in accordance with the terms of French law. Anti-doping inspections are conducted at the organisation’s Motor Home located near the dressing rooms. ARTICLE 11. Protocol In compliance with 1.12.112 of U.C.I rules, the following riders must be present for the formal ceremony: - the first 3 competitors in the race, - the winner of the intermediate sprints. They must present themselves within a maximum of 5 minutes after their arrival. ARTICLE 12. Penalties The U.C.I.'s penalties schedule is the only one applicable. |
