Special rules

ARTICLE 1. Organisation
Amaury Sport Organisation is organising the 9th FLÈCHE WALLONNE WOMEN on Wednesday 19th April 2006 with the Royal Cyclist's Pesant Club Liégeois, according to the rules of the International Cycling Union (UIC) and those of the Royal Ligue Vélocipédique Belge.

ARTICLE 2. Participation
In compliance with article 2.14.004 of the International Cycling Union, the 9th FLÈCHE WALLONNE WOMEN is restricted to national teams (comprising competitors of the same nationality), Women's U.C.I. teams, regional Belgian teams and clubs (with federal authorisation).
All athletes should belong to the Women's Elite category.
Teams comprise a maximum of 6 competitors and a minimum of 4 at the start.

ARTICLE 3. World Cup
LA FLÈCHE WALLONNE WOMEN counts towards the individual World Cup ranking.
The following points are awarded to the first 20 finishers in descending order: 75 - 50 - 35 - 30 - 27 - 24 - 21 - 18 - 15 - 11 - 10 - 9 - 8 - 7 - 6 - 5 - 4 - 3 - 2 and 1 point.
LA FLÈCHE WALLONNE WOMEN counts towards the team ranking in the World Cup. Individuals figure in the team ranking in the World Cup, the Women's U.C.I. teams and the National teams.
The team ranking is calculated by the addition of points to the individual ranking obtained by the 4 best racers in the team.

ARTICLE 4. Office hours
Office staff at the start will be located in the Hôtel de Ville (Town Hall) in Huy on Tuesday 18th April:
From 1430 to 1900 hours:
- checking of the licences
- distribution of numbers by the managers of licensed teams.
- at 1700 hours: Sports Directors' meeting
- at 1730 hours: presentation of the teams on the podium, situated in the town hall square.

ARTICLE 5. Radio-Tour
Race information will be broadcast on the “Radio-Course” channel 162.890 MHZ.

ARTICLE 7. Neutral Technical Assistance
The Neutral technical assistance is ensured by MAVIC.
This service is delivered by means of an average of 3 technical cars.

ARTICLE 8. Protocol
The leader of the individual general ranking of the UCI World Cup as well as the event's top three competitors must present themselves at the podium for the formal ceremony.
After the formal ceremonies, the leader of the individual general ranking in the World Cup and the prize winner of the 9th FLÈCHE WALLONNE WOMEN are required to present themselves at the press room accompanied by the organiser.

ARTICLE 9. Anti-doping
The anti-doping testing is performed under the authority of the International Cycling Union (UIC) and by the designated Officials, in the organisation's Motor-Home situated near the finish line and the office.

ARTICLE 10. Penalties
The UCI scale of penalties is the sole applicable.
