The Race Live on www.letour.fr

The internet website of the Criterium International offers a live coverage during the whole weekend of the event. At the start of every single stage, the web users will be able to have access to all the details of what goes on during the race: gaps, breakaways, situation in the different standings, intermediate checkpoint timings for the time-trial... and all the information on the progression of the pack will be available on www.letour.fr. After the finish, a stage summary will be online as well as an interview of the winner and a photo gallery.

This new coverage for the Critérium International will start on Saturday the 25th of March for the start of stage 1 between Sedan and Charleville-Mézières at 12:40. Sunday the 26th, this live will continue with t he hill stage between Les Vieilles Forges and Monthermé, as of 8:40 (watch out for the summer time change!). In the afternoon, the first rider to take off for the time-trial will hit the streets of Charleville-Mézières at 15:10.

For this weekend of cycling in three episodes, the web users will for instance be able to follow Spaniard Francisco Mancebo's first race this season after clinching 4th spot of last year's Tour de France and recently signing for new team AG2R. Ivan Basso, 2nd of the 2005 Tour de France and Mickael Rasmussen, winner of the king of the mountain standing will be discovering the roads of France for their first time this year and will be battling it out with the men in shape early this season such as Floyd Landis winner of Paris-Nice.

CRITÉRIUM INTERNATIONAL : THE 21 TEAMS SELECTED

21 teams have been selected for the 75th edition of the Critérium International which will take place in Charleville-Mézières
on the 25th and 26th of March next.

Among the teams that will be participating in the three weekend stages (a straight stage, a hill race and an individual time-trial), 14 are Pro Tour, the seven others Continental Pro.


The programme of the stages

Saturday 25th March at 12h50 Straight stage : Sedan > Charleville-Mézières (192 km)
Sunday 26th March at 8h40 : Hill race : Les Vieilles Forges > Monthermé (101 km)
Sunday 26th March at 15h10 : Time-trial : Charleville-Mézières (Parcours urbain, 8,3 km)
